About the Ahmedabad Chapter:
Ahmedabad Chapter was established as a twin city chapter of Ahmedabad and Baroda Chapter of Cost Accountants in 1966 at Manekchowk. In 1968, the office was shifted to Maitri Sadan, Nr. Dinbai Tower In 1989, chapter bought its own premises at “SARAP”, Nr. Navjivan Press, Ashram Road, Ahmedabad. Thereafter there no looking back. The chapter has grown by leaps and bounds year over the year. In the year 2003, the operations of chapter were expanded by addition of adjoined premises. To serve the profession and provide better services to the members, students, industry and society at large, the main operations of the chapter were shifted to a new premise equipped with ultra-modern state of art facilities at CG Road in 2011. This chapter is ranked as one of the best chapters as excellence center of the institute and is recognized as a base model for all forth-coming premises of the institute across the India.
The Ahmedabad Chapter has changed and maintained its status as one of the premier chapters in the region since inception. It has organized regular programs and seminars focusing on contemporary events in the areas of professional interests. The chapter has organized Regional Cost Conferences time to time at Ahmedabad. It has also organized National Cost Conference in the year 2013.
The chapter has imparted training to more than 10,000 students and is having excellent track record of
achieving best examination results and producing rankers at national level on regular basis. Some of our alumnus are occupying key positions in large public sector undertakings, Indian Corporate, Multi-National Companies and also leading practitioners.
The Chapter has been a regular recipient of the “Best Chapter Award” by the institute since the institution of the award. It has bagged best chapter award for several times under category “A”. The chapter has received Best Chapter Award consecutive for three years in 2009, 2010 and 2011 which is a rare achievement in the history of the Institute. Over a period of five decade the chapter has grown by leaps and bounds by serving the profession and providing better services to the members, students, industries and society at a large. It has emerged as one of the biggest and vibrant chapter in the Western Region of India.
As a Primary focus is oral coaching activities other than this chapter is regularly arranging many social activities like Celebration of Yoga Day, Independence Day, Republic Day and Blood Donation Camp, different Sports Indoor and outdoor events for our Members, Students and their family members.
