Brief Job Profile:

A. Costing & Analysis

•             Prepare and maintain cost sheets for products/projects.

•             Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs.

•             Conduct variance analysis (standard vs. actual cost).

•             Assist in price fixation and cost estimation for new products.

•             Monitor cost trends and highlight abnormal costs.

B. Inventory & Consumption

•             Verify material consumption, stock valuation, and BOM accuracy.

•             Coordinate with the store, production, and purchase departments for cost data.

•             Ensure proper recording of WIP, finished goods, scrap, and wastage.

C. Budgeting & Forecasting

•             Assist in preparing annual budgets and cost forecasts.

•             Track expenses against budgets and report deviations.

•             Support management in cost-saving initiatives.

D. Compliance & Documentation

•             Maintain cost records as per Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).

•             Prepare cost audit reports and coordinate with cost auditors.

•             Ensure compliance with GST, excise, and other statutory requirements related to costing.

E. Reporting

•             Generate daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports related to cost and profitability.

•             Provide insights to management on cost optimization and efficiency improvement.
